The synonymy of terminological systems is a natural linguistic phenomenon. The terminological synonymy is often associated with the concept of art, that suggests a detailed study of this phenomenon because the lecturers of the art faculties and institutes come across these terms and have no scientifically based information of them.
In the article some conclusions about semantic features of one semantic group of English terms of painting and graphics with a "colour" common meaning: colour, tone, tint, shade, hue, tinge, cast are represented. The authors note that there are no dictionaries which point to distinctive features of the semantic structure of these words. The authors of the article as a result of a detailed studying of the lexical combination of terms and contexts of their simultaneous usage came to the conclusion that they have a complex semantic structure. They are interchangeable and in some cases they have certain semantic characteristics. The authors state that the terms-synonyms should be learned at the speech level for making more precise and supplement of the lexicographical facts at the language level which helps to full valuable teaching the special vocabulary at non-linguistic faculties.
The author of the article examines the characteristics of innovation policy in general and the state changes in the field of education, in particular, highlighting the features of its new paradigm and the basic concepts. The main directions of the State program of the Russian Federation "Development of Education" for the years of 2013-2020 are considered. She singles out the main modern educational approaches and technologies and formed on the basis of their professional competence of experts, the discrepancy between the theoretical and practical level of training, considers the priorities of modern education, competency-based approach, determines the relevance of forming the pedagogical culture and the usefulness of mathematical disciplines in this cycle. The concepts of mathematical competence and mathematical culture are considered. The insufficiency of basic level students, as a factor in reducing the effectiveness of teaching mathematics is revealed. The author also determines the importance of forming the mathematical culture along with its features, and highlight its relationship with educational innovations.
