Formation of Pupils’ Comparative Analysis Abilities in Multinational Grades with Overwhelming Majority of Darghin Pupils (based on the category of number of the noun in English, Russian and in the Darghin language)

Abstract

The aim of the article is to consider the means of forming plural in compared languages, to find out the difficulties and typical errors in formation of plural of English nouns among the 5th grade pupils of multinational school with the predominance of Dargin pupils. Method. Comparative analysis of number category of a noun in English, Russian and Dargin languages. Results. In the authors’ opinion, the consideration of these problems can allow to rise the effectiveness of teaching the pupils the number category of an English noun; conduce the formation of pupils’ comparative analysis skills of grammatical phenomena and identification of the basic functional similarities and differences. Conclusion. The number category of nouns is typical feature of compared languages, expressed by affixational formation.
