THE PROMOTION OF STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL SELF-DETERMINATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS (on the materials of work on the “Career management” elective course)

Abstract

On the basis of the scientific research of the last 15 years the author summarizes the conditions of educational environment which promote students’ professional self-determination. By the example of elective course “Career Management” it is shown how the teacher can apply non-traditional pedagogical projecting based on the interests, aptitudes and abilities of a particular group of students. Designing elective course by involving learners allows them to maintain motivation for future work, which is one of the components of professional self-determination.
