Abstract
The aim of the article is to consider the issues of developing the independence of older preschoolers by means of research activities Methods. analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, observation and generalization. Result. The introduction of modern educational technologies into the practice of preschool educational institutions allows us to successfully solve the problems of developing independence. The organization of cognitive and research activities of preschoolers is one of them. Since the main function of children's research activity is an independent search for an answer to a question, it is considered possible to purposefully develop the independence of a preschooler through research activities. Conclusion. Research activity accompanies cognitive activity and, accordingly, qualitatively improves the independence of the child.
