Author Guidelines

The submitted articles must be arranged in accordance with these rules and comply with the thematic orientation of “Journal of Dagestan State Pedagogical University”.

The journal assembly is done using the electronic copies. Computer processing of line and half-tone (grayscale) images is used. The journal is printed using the risography technology.

1. The text is typed in the MS Word editor (with the extension .doc) using Times New Roman font, size 14 with a 1.5 line spacing in A4 format. The text margins are standard. All pages should be numbered.

2. If the article volume exceeds 8 pages, there is an additional payment.

The text of the article should follow after:

the UDC index of (for UDC classifier see http://teacode.com/ online/udc/ or http://www.udcc.org/) (in Russian and English);

title of the article (in Russian and English);

authors’ surnames and initials, institution, city, country, e-mail (in Russian and English);

summary of the article in 5-10 lines, which should not duplicate introductory or concluding section of the article (in Russian and English). It should include: aim, methods, results, conclusions;

keywords (5-6) (in Russian and English).

3. The material should be clear and as brief as possible. Text and other materials should be carefully checked. The text of the article should be structured, i.e. contain the research aim, material and methods, results and discussion, conclusion (conclusions). Manuscripts sent to the journal are original print and must be material, not published previously in other publications.

4. The articles reflecting the research results, must fully meet the requirements of their representation.

5. Drawings are created in the .jpg format .jpg, are inserted directly into the text and numbered in order of their mention in the text.

6. All formulas in the text must be typed in the Microsoft Equation 3.0 editor, tables must be in the MS Word format. Tables are numbered in the order cited in the text. Each table before its appearance should be mentioned in the text, e.g. "... (see table. 1)...".

The abbreviations in the inscriptions are not allowed.

The availability of data according to which the graph, chart is built is obligatory!

The text of the article must contain links to illustrative materials.

7. A link to the quote appears immediately after it in square brackets: first, it shall bear the number of source citations from bibliographic list, then, after the comma, the page number with the letter P. For example, [10. P. 81] or, if quoted, the text continues on the next page, [10. Pp. 81-82]. For the accuracy of citations the author is responsible!

8. The list of references is formed according to the alphabet. The bibliography first lists the Russian authors’ papers, which also includes foreign authors’ works translated into Russian. Then follows a list of the literary sources published in foreign languages, which includes Russian authors’ papers, translated into foreign languages. The references should not include unpublished works and textbooks. It is not recommended to add your own papers into this list. In the bibliographic description all the authors must be presented. Expressions such as "et al.", "et al.", "etc." "et all" are not allowed. The author is responsible for the correctness of the data given in the bibliographic list.

9. List of references (listing all authors) is given at the end of the article in numerical order with the "References" subtitle and made out in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5-2008 (Russian and English).

A list of sources used should begin with the surname and initials of the author, and include:

for books – title, place and year of publication, publisher, volume number, pages;

for journal articles journal title, year of publication, volume number (issue), pages;

for newspapers name, year, month, day.

References to unpublished works are not allowed.

10. At the end of the article there may be an organization (No. of grant) that funded this work.

11. The article includes information about the authors:

for university/educational institutions employees: full name, academic title, position, location (department, faculty, University); city, country; e-mail; phone numbers;

for postgraduates: name of Department, lab where the research, name of the supervisor and his permission to publish (in English).

12. The article should be submitted in electronic form (to the Editorial and Publishing Department, DSPU or e-mail: dgpurio@yandex.ru) and in printed version (2 copies on one side of a A4 sheet), signed by all authors, postgraduates and scientific supervisor.

The decision to publish the article or material is made by the Editorial Board. If the authors have comments the manuscript is returned for revision. The Editorial Board reserves the right to send the articles for an independent examination. During publishing copyright is transferred to the editor.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Privacy Statement

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
