Didactic Communicative Influence of the English Teacher in the Context of the Pupils’ Intercultural Competence Formation

Abstract

The aim of the article is to reveal the potential of English teacher’s didactic communicative influence for the formation the of pupils’ intercultural competence. Methods. Analysis of scientific literature, analysis and interpretation of empirical data, observation. Results. The author of the article finds out the specificity of organization function of English teacher’s didactic communicative influence in the sociocultural aspect. Conclusions. Teacher’s didactic communicative influence is the example of the language speaker’s speech behavior. It is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of English culture under the choice of speech means of didactic communicative influence. A teacher should consider a significant difference in ways of making a request in Russian and English cultures.
