Moral Self-Consciousness of Young Dagestan People (Gender Differences in Life Goals)

Abstract

The aim of the article is to study the gender differences in assessing the significance of life goals for boys and girls living in Dagestan. Methods. Psychological literature analysis, synthesis, generalization – theoretical methods; testing, interview, qualitative analysis of the results of the research – practical methods. Result. Significant differences between groups of boys and girls in assessing some life goals are revealed. Conclusions. For young men such vital goals as the realization of their abilities, gaining a sense of harmony with nature, to have a lot of free time, to be free in decisions, to go down in history, to take revenge on all their enemies and play sports are more important then for girls; in the future for girls it is more important to engage in creativity, be very rich, do not experience hardship and have a good family.
