The Role of Value Orientations in the Socio-Psychological Adaptation of Future Teachers to Study at the University: Empirical Research Results

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the level of life-meaning orientations and life values of the personality of first-year students, to identify the features of the resilience of future teachers in the conditions of studying at a university in the territory of a Special military operation. The provisions on adaptation and adaptation processes of personality, theoretical approaches to determining value orientations and resilience of future teaching staff are used as scientific guidelines for the work. The psychodiagnostic methods "Meaningful life orientations" (D. A. Leontiev), the method of studying personality values "Personality profile" by S. Schwartz were used. As a result of the research, information was obtained on the level of formation of goals in life, the meaningfulness of life, the assessment of the effectiveness of life stages already lived, and the formation of the locus of control among first-year students-future teachers.

Conclusion. The revealed results make it possible to determine approaches to the implementation of the program of socio-psychological adaptation of future teaching staff in the context of integration into the all-Russian educational space.
