Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the problem of mastering the methods of action, motives in organizing the reading process at the initial stage of teaching a foreign language at non-linguistic faculties, and to stimulate the desire of students to master these methods. For our research, we used empirical methods: observation, interviews, questionnaires of specialists, and a pedagogical experiment.
The results of the study show that implementing, didactic-methodical support of the text in the context of forming of motives reading strategy identified the methods and forms of work with specialized texts in various fields. Due to the fact that in the functional characteristic of the action, the decisive part is assigned to the approximate part. Therefore, the task of extracting the main components of the tentative part of the action was set successfully.
Conclusion. The functional meaning of the text as a normative unit is shown. Prospects for managing the educational process based on the identification and creation of pedagogical conditions for the upbringing of internal motives of cognitive activity and, with a certain modification, can find application in relation to other educational disciplines at the university are outlined.
