Цель данной статьи заключается в анализе факторов, детерминирующих настоящее состояние семьи на российском фоне, а также социальных представлений молодежи о создании семьи. В статье рассматривается роль традиций и символов, отражающих современное состояние института семьи. Методы. Ведущим методом является теоретический анализ статей, преимущественно отечественных авторов, посвященных проблемам социального семейного института, а также роли социальных представлений и традиций. Результаты. В статье проведен анализ функций социального института семьи, выделены основные ценностные ориентации молодежи и социальные представления о семье, а также подверглись анализу роль традиций, обычаев и символов, их влияние на институализацию семьи. Выводы. Молодежь ориентируется на не специфические функции семьи, где деторождение уходит на второй план, отдавая предпочтение личным удовольствиям. Технологическое развитие и цифровизация упрощают знакомства, но не решают проблем, возникающих в отношениях. В том числе, «гражданский брак» также мешает выполнению основной функции семьи – рождение и воспитание детей. Помощь в удержании позиций института семьи видится в интеграции и поддержании традиций и обычаев, а также символов, такие как фамильный герб или фотографии предков. Символы помогают сохранять связь с прошлыми поколениями и поддерживать семейные ценности.
Aim. The objective of this article is to analyze the factors that determine the current state of the family against the Russian background, as well as the social representation of young people about creating a family. The article considers the role of traditions and symbols that reflect the current state of the institution of the family. Methods. The leading method is a theoretical analysis of articles mainly by domestic authors devoted to the problems of the social family institution, as well as the role of social representation and traditions. Results. The article analyzes the functions of the social institution of the family, identifies the main value orientations of young people and social representation about the family, and analyzes the role of traditions, customs and symbols, their influence on the institutionalization of the family. Conclusions. The social institution of the family is in a difficult situation. Young people focus on non-specific functions of the family, where childbearing fades into the background, giving preference to personal pleasures. Technological development and digitalization simplify dating, but do not solve the problems that arise in relationships. In particular, "civil marriage" also interferes with the performance of the main function of the family – the birth and upbringing of children. Help in maintaining the position of the family institution is seen in the integration and maintenance of traditions and customs, as well as symbols, such as the family coat of arms or photographs of ancestors. Symbols help maintain a connection with past generations and support family values.
