Исследование основывается на использовании эмпирического метода и изучения опыта творческой деятельности учителей-новаторов. Результаты. Установлено, что наибольший эффект в повышении познавательного интереса школьников к изучению географии можно достичь, если систематически использовать на уроках инновационные технологии организации учебного процесс. Вывод. Применение на уроках географии разнообразных инновационных педагогических технологий способствует развитию познавательного интереса школьников, повышает качество географического образования, формирует умение применять географические знания на практике.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Aim: to show the role of modern innovative forms of educational process organization in increasing the cognitive interest of students in studying geography at school. Methods. The research is based on the use of an empirical method and the study of the experience of creative activity of innovative teachers. Results. It has been established that the greatest effect in increasing the cognitive interest of schoolchildren in studying geography can be achieved if innovative forms of educational process organization are systematically used in the classroom. Conclusion.
